Morgan Flitner, Miss Cody Stampede Lady-In-Waiting 2013

Morgan is more than a “cowgirl at heart”; having grown up on the historic family ranch, she has  helped cowboy since she was big enough to sit up in the saddle. Morgan rode in her first rodeo at 4 and has competed and queened ever since. Morgan has held the titles of 2010 Days of 49 Queen, 2011 Cody Stampede Princess and the 2012 Big Horn County Queen.

 

During high school; Morgan was very active in school and community activities; 4-H, FFA and competed in High School Rodeo. She excelled in horsemanship and horse events. Morgan is currently a Freshman attending Northwest College, majoring in Ag Business and now competes on both the NWC Livestock and Horse Judging teams. She is the Secretary of the Block and Bridle Club and spends her free time outdoors, horseback and enjoys people and photography. Morgan is the 19 year old daughter of Greg and Pam Flitner of Shell.

Who is eligible to be Miss Cody Stampede

After a girl serves her term as Miss Cody Stampede Lady-In-Waiting, she will automatically become Miss Cody Stampede that following year.   She will travel the area promoting Cody Stampede and the Cody Community while learning from Miss Cody Stampede and preparing for her year as Miss Cody Stampede.   ​​


Miss Cody Stampede Lady-In-Waiting is required to assist in fundraising, work with the Cody Stampede Board and Royalty Committee on public engagements, participate in one non-rodeo community service project, and attend the Miss Rodeo Wyoming Pageant held in August to watch the current Miss Cody Stampede compete and become familiar with the pageant. 



Age: As of December 31 of the year of competition, must be 18 – 23 years of age, inclusive.​


Live: Must be residents of Park or Big Horn County for at least one year prior to the contest. Royalty must maintain residency in Park or Big Horn County during their term, but may temporarily live elsewhere for the purposes of education or work.


Relationship: Must never have been married or had a marriage annulled. Must never have been nor be pregnant currently, nor become pregnant during any of the term of any title awarded.


Horse: During their reign, royalty must have access to at least well broken horse that they are familiar and comfortable with, and be able to provide transportation of such horse(s) to
royalty events.


Legal: Royalty may not have been charged with the commission of any felony in any state.
